If we like what we see, we'll contact you and ask you to provide more information, generally a writing sample, even and especially from engineering candidates. Don't be alarmed, it's not the GRE, it's just a chance for us to get to know you better and find out how you express yourself.

The next step is a telephone interview to hear how you communicate, how you think, how you approach problem-solving. It's not so much a test of how much you know, but how you think, and what questions you ask.

After the phone interview we invite those we'd like to meet to come in for an interview. Dress is business casual or better for interviews. Our interviews are long, and we do administer some tests. If you want to brush up on Boolean logic before you come, by all means, please do. But don't worry. Again, the tests are a chance for us to observe your approach, more than your outcome.

Following an interview, for people we're considering extending an offer to, we do ask for 5-6 references, including a mix of professional, academic (for recent grads), and personal references.
